Straight Answers Before You Book

These are the questions our office hears every week, about price, crews, storms, and paperwork. Something missing? Send us a note and you’ll get a real answer, usually within one business hour.

Item Rate
Two movers and a truck $149/hr, 2-hour minimum Mon-Thu
Three movers and a truck $205/hr, 3-hour minimum Fri-Sun
Deposit to hold your date $85, credited to your final bill
Storage vault, climate-controlled $189/month, month-to-month

Worth asking (but nobody does)

Can I ride along to the new place?

We’d love to say yes, but the insurance on a loaded truck says otherwise. We’ll text you when the crew leaves the old place and again when we pull up at the new one, so you’re never left guessing.

What happens to my deposit if the closing moves?

Closings slide all the time around here. Give us 48 hours’ notice and your $85 deposit simply follows the new date. It never evaporates.

What if it storms on move day?

June through September, it probably will. Crews carry floor runners and shrink-wrap, and Eddie watches the radar to time the heavy lifting between cells. A wet move runs just like a dry one, only slower to the truck.

Between homes? Your things can wait in our Kissimmee warehouse for $189 a month, no long contract.
01 Common questions
Are you a real moving company?
Yes. Allen's Moving & Storage is a licensed and insured household-goods mover based right here in Kissimmee, FL. Every job runs on our own trucks with our own payroll crews, and our Florida FDACS registration plus interstate DOT and MC authority stays current and on file.
Are your movers actual employees or day labor?
All employees. We keep 14 full-time uniformed movers on W-2 payroll, and nobody outside our roster touches your job. Doug still rides along on the tricky ones himself.
How much do movers cost per hour around Kissimmee?
Two movers and a truck run $149 an hour; three movers are $205. There's a 2-hour minimum Monday through Thursday and 3 hours Friday through Sunday. Most full homes do better on our written flat rate, so ask for both numbers.
How does your flat rate actually work?
You tell us the addresses, room count, and heavy pieces, and we email one written figure before any date is set. The number you sign is the number you pay, even if the crew hits a wall of traffic on I-4.
Do I have to put down a deposit?
Yes, $85 holds your date on the board, and it comes straight off your final bill. If plans change, 48 hours' notice moves the deposit to your new date.
My building or HOA wants paperwork. Can you handle that?
Happens every week in the resort corridors and condo buildings. Carmen issues certificates of insurance and sorts gate codes, elevator bookings, and dock windows before move day.
Do you still move during storm season?
Yeah, we do. From June through September the crews carry floor runners and shrink-wrap, and our dispatcher times the loading around the afternoon cells. A hurricane watch is the one thing that bumps a date, and you'd be first in line to reschedule.
Which areas around Kissimmee do you cover?
All of Osceola County: St. Cloud, Celebration, Poinciana, BVL, Hunters Creek, Meadow Woods, Reunion, ChampionsGate, Davenport, Harmony, Campbell, and Intercession City, plus Greater Orlando.
Will my stuff share a truck on a long-distance move?
Never. Your household rides alone on a truck we own, and the same crew that loads in Kissimmee unloads at the other end. No load-sharing, no carrier swap.
How does storage work, and what does it cost?
Your things go into sealed vaults in our own climate-controlled Kissimmee warehouse, $189 per vault per month, month-to-month. The same crew that loads your home vaults it, so nothing changes hands.
02 Why us

One company, one contract, one crew

Book us and the truck at your curb, the movers carrying your sofa, and the name on your paperwork are all the same outfit — and if your dates slip, your things vault into our own Kissimmee warehouse instead of a stranger’s lot. A broker sells your move to whichever carrier bids lowest, then vanishes once the paper is signed.

Allen's Moving & Storage
  • Seven of our own trucks and fourteen full-time movers we hired, trained, and screened ourselves
  • A written flat rate signed before the first box moves — the number you settle, period
  • The crew that loads your home is the crew that unloads it, even into our storage vaults
  • Florida FDACS household-goods registration plus US DOT and MC authority on file
  • One Kissimmee office and one point of contact from the first call to the final walkthrough
A typical broker
  • Auctions your move to the cheapest bidder and pockets the spread
  • An estimate that quietly grows between booking day and moving day
  • Subcontracted strangers you never spoke with handling everything you own
  • No straight answer on who pays if something arrives broken
  • A far-off call center standing in for a local moving crew
